The Cygnian ambassador turns off the power to the weapons on the Thistledown 123, thwarting Tex Hex's plans
The Cygnian ambassador was sent by the Planetary Union to New Texas to audit the situation there.
He was unhappy after he saw Marshal BraveStarr sleeping on the job, and promised to Mayor Derringer that he would have BraveStarr replaced, despite the mayor's protests.
Before the ambassador could leave New Texas, he and the mayor were kidnapped and held to ransom aboard the Thistledown 123 by Tex Hex and his gang. The ambassador nearly suffocated since he needed to replenish the air in his spacesuit, but was rescued by BraveStarr in time.
The ambassador left New Texas saying that would give the mayor and the marshal commendations. (The Taking of Thistledown 123)

- A cygnet is a name for a young swan. The ambassador had swan-like features, which would explain the name of his species.
